Ancient Egyptian women were consuming sage in order to become fertile. It is associated with longevity and restoration of impaired memory.
The Chinese appreciate it so much that when British and Dutch began to import tea from China, offered two tea boxes for a cabinet with dried leaves of this herb. In East they use to drink sage calling it "Greek Tea".
